I don’t pull teeth.

When Jackson’s second tooth became loose enough to pull, I cringed. Chuck was out of town and he’s the family tooth-puller. (Actually, Jeremy pulls his own teeth now.) After wiggling Jack’s tooth a few times between my fingers, I got the chills and told him to ask his older brother for help.

The blood started coming but Jeremy persisted. I half-watched from the hallway. Finally, Jack said, “I got it. Let me do it myself.”

So he did.

Say something.
