creating design / where I live

Painter’s Elbow

My right arm is half dead, but I press on. We’ve been painting steadily since closing on the house Thursday, but so many of the walls were trashy that I couldn’t not paint them. I let the boys pick their colors (with my final approval) and I finished their rooms yesterday.

My nature lover, Jeremy, picked green. Very green. I’m rolling with it.

Jack wanted some sort of blue, though the shade kept changing every time we went to Home Depot. So I settled on the shade and had some fun with painter’s tape.

The master bedroom is almost finished and I’ll start on the library today. More painting! (Just wait until you see Chuck’s den. He’s been painting too.)

Saturday night was a lovely evening since the heat wave broke to a breezy 65 degrees. I went out to the front porch to feel the night air and took this picture of the entryway. I just love this house so much.

Say something.
