When Chuck first asked me on a date, I said no. It was August 1995, we were 17 years old and I loved my independence too much to be attached to a boy. He persisted, and by February 1996, I caved. We were married in 2000. He was right all along.
Together we enjoy the outdoors and traveling to new places. In our house are more Star Wars and Marvel action figures than I can count. As the only girl in this house, I’ve mastered the art of escapism. I love them, they vex me, and my life is richer for it.
We added Salem to our family in July 2010, one month before our sweet coonhound Hank passed away. Salem is fiercely independent (is there any other way to be?) and is kind enough to do his business outside.
Our most recent addition is Major, a soon-to-be-huge blue tick hound who will serve as our very own University of Tennessee mascot.
