Marisol Spoon

I’m falling in love with these little illustrations from the husband-wife design team that makes up Marisol Spoon. They live in Appalachia and draw from the surrounding natural elements to create their darling prints. There a few I’m eye-balling, like these, titled “Ella in the Bright Forest” and “The Reading Room,” respectively:

I’m not sure exactly what draws me to the prints, but there are a ton of them and each one is beautifully done and so creative. I love the nod to nature and the simple elegance of the girls. You can see their store on Etsy here. I’m pondering which one I’d like to own.

I’ve also been drawn to owls of late (probably something I’ve inherited from my grandmother) so I was tickled to see this print:

I picked up a sweet chain-linked necklace in the shape of an owl the other day, which I’ll be wearing tomorrow morning when Michele and I suffer through another local television morning show. (Here’s hoping we get more than 90 seconds to vomit out all the details of our Pink event.) It does mean an early wake-up time (4 a.m.!) so I’m signing off now to work on the book for one solid hour and then force myself to bed.
