By the middle of last year, I knew I was sold on homeschooling and was going to continue it indefinitely. I gathered curriculum slowly over the summer and registered the boys with our umbrella school a few weeks ago. I mapped out the calendar in pencil and decided that today would be a good day to start.
The boys didn’t even mind. After breakfast, Jeremy went straight to work on an introductory essay while still in his Phineas and Ferb pajamas.
Jackson got started on handwriting without complaint.
Then, Jeremy had his first lesson in multiplication and Jackson whizzed through five pages of refresher math. After finishing the first lesson in their Explode the Code books, they got to enjoy computer time on FunBrain.
Zoo classes start tomorrow, as will our Astronomy lessons. So far, so good. Welcome to first and third grade at the Miller School for Boys.
Your mother brags on you girls all the time! I love the bright and cheery bunting you have above the computer corner.
