Did I really just type that headline?
HECK YES I DID.
Ahem.
So I already had plans for a quick weekend in Atlanta with Karin to visit Corey for her birthday and bum around Ikea. We also already had plans to eat at Flip Burger Boutique, and honestly that was plenty of excitement on its own. The weekend was looking fabulous.
Then I see an announcement on Flip Burger’s Facebook page about a Meet & Greet with Richard Blais to benefit the Georgia Chapter of the MS Society on the exact same day we have plans to eat there. Squeal!
So then I start tweeting about my excitement, and next thing I know I get this as a reply:
Yes, oh yes, he tweeted to me. Double squeal!
Come Saturday morning Karin and I headed south, and after battling a nasty round of traffic we finally meet Corey at Flip to enjoy lunch and meet the winner of Top Chef All-Stars. He was gracious and kind, but that shouldn’t surprise you one bit.
The food? Amazing, which shouldn’t surprise you either. I chose the Turkey Flip Burger with avocado, alfalfa sprout and pomegranate ketchup in a lettuce wrap. Among of the three of us we shared a bowl of fries with hickory smoked mayo and a Nutella and Burnt Marshmallow liquid nitrogen milkshake for dessert. (Here is the full menu for the curious foodies.)
And now, pictures.
