Mom, take a picture of this!

The boys have caught on to my Nikon problem and suddenly they think nearly everything is photo-worthy too.

Jeremy created an entire war scene in his bedroom yesterday. We needed the appropriate amount of documentation.

The bright green guy and the little red guy were caught and surrounded. They must have done something really bad.

Cause there were back-up soldiers positioned all the way on the windowsill.

When I see the boys use their imagination like this, I have hope that their brains haven’t been completely fried by television and video games. They get those things in moderation, but sometimes I wonder if “in moderation” is even too much.

As I expected, Jackson jumped eagerly back into school work. This morning he read through Grade Three sight words without missing a single one. Jeremy, on the other hand, has been a little less enthusiastic because he suffers from Eeyore Syndrome, in which everything is impossible because the world is unfair. It is a daily challenge to encourage him that he can come to understand plural nouns, the thousands place and hemispheres. Then, when he finally grasps the concept finding the perimeter of a square, he laughs and declares, “Man, this is so easy.”
