Countdown to graduate school

positivityClasses start in three weeks and my books have already arrived in the mail. I’m about to be a student again. Squeals and anxiety all around. Oh what a familiar feeling! Without divulging all the academic drivel about a degree in humanities, I’ll simply copy/paste a couple of lines from the program description:

…the program invites students to explore creative and conceptual expressions of the human condition in all of its forms from antiquity to the present.

…the program welcomes students seeking to take an adventure of the mind that engages the most imaginative forms of human expression and their own intellectual and creative potentials.

Essentially, I’m going to be reading and writing a ton this summer, and there will be no math.

No math!

My goal to have the boys’ school wrapped up by May 13 isn’t working out entirely. Jackson will be done in three weeks for sure, but it looks like Jeremy has a solid month left, if not longer. He fights me on this, but there’s nothing I can do to make him work faster or make assignments disappear. This is what happens when you have a parent who takes homeschooling seriously. We aren’t just going to lounge all day in our jammies. At the very least we’ll get dressed by noon.
