What. A. Day.

First of all, my alarm went off at 4:20 a.m. for another morning news show appearance for the magazine’s fundraiser, which is in two weeks. And that’s after going to bed just before midnight because I needed to work on some pages for Jim (the book’s author) per his request and get a 59 MB file uploaded for him to proof. And that’s after barely recovering from a morning show appearance Tuesday morning and not sleeping well the night before.

All that’s to say that these are the things I remember from today: building webpages for the October issue, resizing and editing 40+ photos, proofing the final pages of the Best of Amarillo (a special edition magazine that comes out October 3rd), picking up kids, dropping off kids, one last-minute interview, picking up kids again and a creating a make-shift dinner from last night’s leftovers. I just finished reading Narnia to the boys and I am confident that I transposed words in every other sentence. In addition, I am confident this post is fraught with grammatical and spelling errors.

I am tired.

Tonight I will forgo the treadmill and working on the book in favor of watching Project Runway and going to bed early.

My final word for the night is this: Flamingo is so fabulous.
